ABOUT US

Since 1999, MARETERRA has been developing a multidisciplinary study on the presence of mythical beings in the cultural framework of different societies.

From the aesthetic and anthropological, it is intended to make a contribution to knowledge that allows us to have an objective vision of its appropriation as instruments to recover the balance product of social difficulties and asymmetries.

Through the passage of time his belief has broken down, however it has not disappeared, thanks to the arts. This gives them an emotional component that requires more specific codes for interpretation.

As a free and spontaneous manifestation of human creativity, mythical beings are related to various realities and formative environments. The approach to them is not only reduced in cultural responses to these environments, but it also tells us about the human spirit and our essence since ancient times structured from the past and that transcends the present and future.

Assuming the phenomenon that the Elves represent for the different societies in which their presence is evidenced from the arts, the mythological, the magical and even from the daily life of their people where they are spoken of as reports of privileged experiences; It is pertinent, for their study and understanding, the approach to their knowledge from different perspectives that allow us to have an objective vision in order to answer questions about their presence in the cultural framework of these societies.

Over more than 20 years, Mareterra has been developing research on the different aspects involved in the study of the Goblins. This has allowed us to make an interdisciplinary contribution that involves the aesthetic and anthropological aspects embodied in symbolic representations of a handmade nature of some elements that are part of this universe.

As heritage of a culture, Elves and their beliefs provide a logical model to solve social and psychological problems. They are instruments used to recover the balance product of social difficulties and asymmetries.

Through the passage of time his belief has broken down, however it has not disappeared completely, thanks to literature, poetry, painting and music. This gives them an emotional component that requires more specific codes for their interpretation; This is why the perspectives around the Goblins that relate oral traditions, artistic and historical sources could refine the instruments for the knowledge of this phenomenon.

As a free and spontaneous manifestation of human creativity, Elves relate to various realities and formative environments. The approach to them not only comes down to cultural responses to these environments but also tells us about the human spirit and our essence
